The Southern California mid-century environment in which I grew up was about art, architecture and ideas

Today, with much of the Modernist architecture disappearing, I work to document what is being preserved, what is being updated as well photographing innovative new structures inspired by the Modernist compromise between high art and quotidian living, often coupled with 21st Century sensitivity to environmental and social concerns.

As with other of my projects, what interests me are the details in the living spaces and the design, often building upon what photographic masters have captured before me.
